Had a great conversation with Doug today. He talked me through the new label—it’s all about having control over what they release, how they release it, and when. They’ve kept using the lettering I created for Majesty, and now that’s the name of the label too. It’s nice to know the work stuck.
They want me to produce artwork for around four releases a year, which feels like a solid rhythm. The first EP is due in August, titled Romance is Dead. Doug already has a strong visual direction—he’s drawn to Romanticism, showed me a few paintings he loves, full of trees, oceans, skies. We talked about blending those with old Hollywood portraits and faces, which overlaps with some of my collage work.
I left the call feeling energised. The brief is rich, and I’ve already got ideas forming. Time to start working.
